The most southerly point

We managed to avoid the rain, and the crowds thanks to our brilliant tour guides. They got us to The Lizard peninsula before everyone else and we first had the great views from Kynance Cove (extra 1). I had the views, the others, including dog, went down to the beach. And then we went to Lizard Point itself, mainland Britain’s most southerly point - this is my blip.

After lunch and we went in search of a Well - St Ruan near Cadgwith (extra 2). A nicely kept well house and obviously regularly visited.

Eventually we went for ‘real’ Cornish ice cream at the Roskilly farm where it is made and then made our way back to Newlyn, via some excellent coffee at Origin Coffee Porthleven.

Later we just went up the hill to Mousehole and had a stunning dinner at The Old Coastguard.
