Evening light in Ammersee

After a rain storm this evening we went for a wander by the lake. The light was beautiful and the temperature was cool after reaching nearly 30 degrees this afternoon.
We had a very early start on the bikes in an attempt to do most of the final 57km on the Paar route before it got too hot. We saw lots of wildlife today including three very large hares, a fox, buzzards, kites and two kestrels. We’ve finished both the cycle routes that we wanted to do and will look at the weather tomorrow and decide when to go home.

Our son has just found out that he’s passed his exams to be an assistant carpenter after a two year apprenticeship. He’s decided to stay on for another 3 years to do the full carpentry apprenticeship.
