Herding cats

I can’t remember how long it is since 4 of us started doing the Dales Way walk in stages. It came to a halt when I broke my ankle a couple of years ago. Then we couldn’t find time when we were all free. Then we had a date but Chris didn’t fancy it at the last minute. I was prepared to carry on but Ailie thought as we’d started together we should finish together. Then Covid was upon us.

Now we are all free next Thursday but already we are hitting problems. We all could agree on the date and we know we need 2 cars, one at the beginning and another at the end of the distance we want to do. It is accepted that I can’t drive as the DVLA still hasn’t decided if I’m fit or not. Now Chris thinks walking 5.5 miles to Sedburgh will be enough. The rest of us don’t want to do a 5 hour round car trip for such a short walk. Now Chris is suggesting we stay over - but the rest of us have other commitments the next day. We know Chris likes to wind things up but if there’s anymore nonsense I’m going to do it myself with Mr C in support!

It has rained all day so I’ve worked on my Blurb book and Mr C is now proof-reading.
