The Wildflower Meadow
Today, we and some friends did a lot of work in our local wildlife area, scything and strimming an area full of hogweed, to allow a more varied selection of plants to grow through .
The photo is of the wildflower meadow which we have been managing for some years now, which includes Yellow Rattle to weaken the grasses, Ox Eye daisies, Knapweed and, more recently, Pyramidal orchids.
I blipped the bench and this area back in March when it looked rather different. The New Bench & wildflower meadow
The extras show the before and after views of the overgrown area we cleared today.
