Lizard Village to Church Cove.
On a near perfect morning with a gentle breeze and azure skies we set off on our walk to Church Cove.
The sea was translucent turquoise.
We went along the well trodden coastal path by cliffs which were filled with the yellow of wild mustard, red and white campion, and foxgloves, with field daisies on longer stems, vetch, and yellow birdsfoot trefoil everywhere.
The path was dry and dusty, despite the rain on Tuesday.
Every now and again we simply stopped to drink in the views which unfolded along the way.
Towering cliffs falling away far below, with their sculpted weather beaten rocky outcrops, and deep fissures.
The sparkling shining waters stretching out to the blue misty horizon.
A day to savour.
We went much earlier today.
The main photo is the coastline stretching out into the distance towards Falmouth. It contains the pretty Cadgwith Cove, Kennack Sands and the sweep of the Coverack Bay.
As I sit here writing this, I can watch the busy sparrows who are feeding their young in a nesting box on the wall by the lounge window of our bungalow.
A huge herring gull comes sometimes in the morning to loudly tap on the glass door of the conservatory.
The first time he did it we hadn’t seen him and thought something had hit the pane, it was so loud!
We haven’t fed him, although he gets mightily miffed if we ignore him!
They are really large gulls and I have to say he is rather handsome close up!
But I’m not bowing to his pressure!
Photo of a house and also flowers on a garden wall in extras.
