Up the garden path.......5.00 a.m.

It is such a fresh morning. 
I wandered up the garden path to savour the promise of another summer day already unfolding. 
Now I am sitting looking out of the patio window, with a cup of tea, having loaded up the trail camera videos taking during the night. 
Lots of hedgehog activity. 
The pair of wood-pigeons once again using last year's nest, which the blackbird used to like to sit in and sing in late spring. 
The female blackbird is preening her feathers sitting on the fence. 
I've seen her mate pottering about. 
After a busy day yesterday, today will be one for simply being out there enjoying the sunshine and welcoming my two friends this afternoon under a summer sky.
