Dragons after the Storms

(Firstly a huge thanks for all the love for the baby bouquetins yesterday, our local naturalist is going to try to film them tomorrow!)

These Alpine Salamanders only come out when everywhere is really wet which it certainly was this morning. These are fascinating animals, they have such long pregnancies and at altitudes of 1,400-1,700 m which this one was, the pregnancy lasts around three years (1,140 days)! The extra shows the Nant valley where it lives.
