Building Blocks
We woke to no rain but that didn't last so this is another misty shot but there weren't raindrops on the lens so that was good. This is looking towards Milford Sound before we enter the Homer Tunnel. Around the tunnel are walls of rock. On the fans at the bottom of them vegetation is growing and it will climb it's way up to cover the rock faces until another rock slide clears the face again. The tunnel was cut through granite so maybe these are granite too. I loved seeing the raw beauty of them.
before we left Milford we had another look at the terminal area where the cruise boats leave from.-extra 1 In February 2020 the Milford road was badly affected by heavy rain and we saw a repaired section at Falls Creek. There is now a parking area and a walkway beside the stream and across the road is a waterfall. All very convenient for a photographer. The rocks that have been piled beside the stream are impressive. Extra 3
We are now back in TeAnau and I have to pack for a three day photography trip into Dusky Sound. It is aboard the Flightless and run by Pure Salt Charters. This is my seventh trip with them but the first that isn't just a holiday. William Patino a local photographer will be helping us with compositon in landscape photography. There is no internet out there so i will see you all again on Friday.
