Stretching the Legs
The journey across to the Lakes took longer than usual. The roads were incredibly busy and progress at times slow.
We were rather relieved to reach Ulverston where we could enjoy the sunshine and have a walk. This is the view we enjoyed on our circular walk up and round Hoad Hill. The monument is a 100 foot tower built to commemorate Sir John Barrow who was born in Ulverston.
Apologies if I don’t get round to commenting over the weekend as we have limited WiFi
