Sally Mair - Loving life

Ever hopeful

I was in Lidl this morning and spotted this, talk about hopeful. It's an 8"tall banana plant and comes complete with a recipe for banana muffins. When I had wiped the tears of laughter from my eyes I noticed it was being sold under the label fruit plants along with strawberries and tomatoes. I think the chances of a strawberry tart or tomato sandwich are somewhat higher than that of a banana muffin, but who knows. £2.49 if you want to give it a go.
Today was just not as nice as the last couple of days have been. It wasn't dramatically cooler but there was a breeze and the sun disappeared around lunchtime so it was dull.
I seem to be very tired again just now so was completely out for the count for an hour or so this afternoon. I woke in time for evening prayer though which was good. Corpus Christ today so had we been in church it would have been a special service.
We have the girls tomorrow afternoon which will be fun, hope the weather is good and we can be out in the garden. Doesn't really matter though we'll have fun wherever.
Oh, and we watched the first episode of The Pact.

Keep safe and well everybody, the last of our immediate family had his vaccination today so that's a relief. Three of them have still to have their second, but the process has started. Cases in D'mains are coming down as well so that's good news too.

I'm still praying for my friends in India though. What they are going through is unimaginable.
