Squab!
What a lovely day it was today, warm at 8.00am with no haar.
My first task today was to head out to my final physio appointment. He's very pleased with my knee and I can certainly see huge progress with it. It's not nearly as painful and it's pretty well back to normal mobility. The only thing I have difficulty with now is getting up from the floor and that may be age rather than my knee. I've to keep doing the exercises!
This afternoon was spent in the garden. I got all of the veg except my courgettes into their final positions. The courgettes could probably go into the grow bag but I'll wait a few more days I think. I bought a triple pot to hang over a low and rather unsightly horizontal pipe outside the kitchen window so I planted that up too. The sweet peas are in at last. Somebody gave me half a dozen onion plants a few weeks ago so I've put them in too. I've never tried growing onions or garlic before so I'm having a go with both this year.
I had some beans left over as well as some sweet peas (I've run out of space even for pots) so I listed them on our local Facebook gardeners page and they were gone in no time.
Oh and I saw an orange tip flying about but it would only settle on top of the lilac which is out of my reach, so no photograph. I think he was teasing me!
I need to get the rest of my bedding plants into the ground or pots and then I'll have caught up - till I buy some more that is!
This little pigeon came with his parents to the garden today. He made a funny squeaking sound which is why I noticed him. He looked like one of these cartoon birds with wings which go up and down as if they are shrugging. Very cute.
We had bridge this evening, I was happy with the way I played and had a positive score when I handed over to Colin, which is my aim.
I was glad to hear we have stayed in level 2 measures - I may actually make it to Iona in July at this rate.
I think the local numbers have started to go down at last. It's not nice being next to the area with the highest figures in Scotland when we've been sitting safely at 0-2 cases for so long. Keep safe and well everybody, and hallo to all my Glasgow friends who are at last allowed out to play!
