Close Encounter

Took advantage of a beautiful day to walk locally to avoid the crowds. Drove a short distance to Newton upon Rawcliffe. We then dropped down to Stony Moor and then on the forest drive towards Levisham before a sharp climb back to the car.

Encountered this adder enjoying the sunshine on the path. Gave it a wide berth as it clearly knew we were there.
