York

Today was the York City race. Tricky navigation round the streets of York. Rather showery which did make some surfaces slippery.

Stephen came with us as his train back to Nottingham was in the afternoon. After our runs we picked up some lunch and went to the Museum gardens dodging a heavy shower as we went.

York is my home town but it is a while since I have had a wander around. We took ourselves off for a walk through the gardens towards Bootham Bar, York Minster and the Treasurers House.

The main is taken on the route through the gardens towards Bootham Bar. The collage shows the Minster and Treasurers House the Iris was in the gardens of the house. The bottom right shows the Rose window. As a teenager in 1984 I looked out upon the Minster as a fire took hold damaging the window.

Despite that lots of happy memories growing up in York and where I met husband Richard who was a solicitor for the council.
