Something Is Changing

We will not know if we are living through a  breakthrough. Perhaps next month in retrospect. But something is changing, though many people down here remain sceptic. We do not know, you can not tell…Oh, really? But all through this bad weather period, I have this inner feeling. Things are going to be better. (Uhm, do not forget Gaza or India, Please…) I mean, today, here in Hessen, for the first time since how long – I can not remember now – the Incidence-Value came under 50! .
Still our beautifull little town is deserted, many small shops vanished. Only few seem strong enough to survive. Some new initiatives eclipsed, could not afford the rent staying closed since last December. So sad…An Other has taken her chance to renovate. And then, since this morning, the first Campers have arrived at our Wesercamping. Not the supercruisers, but the more modest and the most daring ones. You can see a few on todays picture.
And, wait until this weekend, the sun breaks through, with more pleasant temps. I’m sure the mood here will change. No mega-parties of course. But I bet the smiles will resurface. And of course there will still be crumpy homestayers, fanatic denyers. And the idiots who will make the Incidence-Value rise back over the 50, eventually the 100-limit.
But in the end, lets hope for the best and for a new perspective for all those who have lost their loved ones. Sometimes due to political irresponsibility, incompetence, narcissistic lack of empathy.
Let history Judge and may we enjoy our new chances, hoping for a different future this summer.
