New Promises
Really, such a beautifull start into the morning. The sun was rising and spread its warm light over the rivervalley. Through Our Eastern Window still no new sunlight could be seen. The Sollingtrees have grown inpenetrable green. From the balcony however you could follow the arrival of the new day. As the churchbells of 7 o’clock invited me to dance, I did my humble exercise. Breathing in and out. On both sides the dark stiff remnants of what even in December still were our wonderfull Roses.
When We came here in 2008 the High Reds were already the pride of the owners. The Wild White was Our First Plantation. Some years later we installed the romantic light Pergolian Bow. We could always say to Each Other laughing: Never promised You a Rosegarden.
But We deeply enjoyed these miracles gratefully and with some pride: This great gift of Both Our Roses. Alas, they did not survive the severe frost and snow last Februari. We have been waiting for tiny sprouts as a sign of recovery, in vain. So it was clear: this First Sunny Day will be the start of the heavy cutting job. No more excuses, no threatening dark clouds. And after that espresso on the terrace I took the leap.
That feels good:, Even without muscles to lift the heavy cutter. The sun is almost blinding. But I went on, even in the afternoon. Tomorrow will even be more difficult, because of the entanglement by the fresh growing lysteria. Which I want to spare. We will see how far we come. And, MyDearestLove, I had to remove several of Your precious romantic decorations rummaged together on your countless lookaround trips. Always happy to find a cheap or thirdhand object of your desire. I feel so close to Your desire to embellish Our Home&Living. Both inside & outside. I promise to care for Our New Roses and Restore Our Playfull Romantic Deco. That is intrinsic to the deep music of Our lovely life. Sleep well, You All.
