Birthday Boy

CyclopsJnr has been SO excited for his birthday.

He got one present this morning before school, the headed off happily to see all his classmates.  We picked him up laden with presents from his friends and headed home to do some opening...  He's got so many beautiful presents including Lego, a Bakugan, a Power Rangers sword, a pogo stick, a flying drone toy, a remote control train, lots of books and games, an archery set, a robot construction kit, a marble run, and action camera....  We've got so much exciting stuff to explore and enjoy!

We had a video call with his grandparents where he unwrapped his present from them and talked excitedly about the other stuff he'd got.

The main event was his online party.  Magician Dazzling Darren (who he saw a month or so back and loved) hosted twenty-odd of his friends from school, rugby, our neighbourhood and even further afield.  The kids LOVED it - the humour was perfectly targeted for the age group and the magic had them captivated.  It seems everyone engaged, joined in and had a good time and other parents have sent lovely comments this evening.

At the birthday boy's request we had roast beef, yorkshire pudding, stuffing, roast potatoes, peas and gravy for dinner, followed of course by cake with candles.

He was worn out by the time he got to bed, but he seems to have had a great day.
