Bluebells
Our house doesn’t have a front garden, it opens onto the pavement.
These bluebells are growing in a tiny patch next to the cellar grids. After they’ve flowered I’m going to dig a lot of them up and move them round to the back garden.
The weather is dismal now and looks like the rain has set in for the next week. I think someone up there is trying to keep us all indoors! That’s one way of minimising the spread of new variants! I’m trying not to let the weather get me down but it is. I keep telling myself there are people with far worse things to worry about and then I feel bad for whinging about a bit of rain. I think after a year of lockdown and worrying about Covid we all just need some sunny, warm weather.
We came back to the house today as I want to get tidied up and cleaned for our visitors next week from N Ireland - Sam, Siobhan and our grandchildren Isla and Arón. After 18 months the kids will have grown so much.
I started cleaning the attic music/guest room this afternoon. Fresh bed linen, vacuumed and dusted. Next is the kids room - though it’s not too bad in there - the bunk beds haven’t been slept in since they were last made up.
I may also sew the trousers I bought the green fabric for and a pinny with some lovely vintage fabric I have.
I also have a birthday card to make.
We can watch The Crown tonight.
Goodnight Blippers - stay safe and we’ll.
