Josh

It wasn't a day for victories it seemed. Josh played very little as he was feeling sore, and on this cool misty (soggy) morning it was probably enough just to have a match. The home pitches were again waterlogged and arrangements and re-arrangements were made on Thursday and Friday.

I left Josh's match early, leaving them 2-0 down which remained as the score.

I then went off to play two tennis matches and lost by a much bigger margin!

Afterwards I went to Ascot United to see them beaten by Shildon 4-1 in the FA Vase. Nathan chose to watch the Reading match and see them hit the bottom of the league. It was that kind of day so I was pleased to see that Leeds at least retained a point.

We had a wonderful pre-Mother's day meal at a local restaurant which has had major renovations under the new management. It had been coasting along for years being a good and popular place but not extraordinary, it had then become extraordinarily bad (to the extent we wanted to torch the place and avoided it for years), and now it is really lovely.
