Goldcrest

We have had a wonderful day for spotting birds. We saw a male bullfinch, a fledgling sparrow, some song thrushes and the biggest treat was this tiny goldcrest. We were having breakfast on the decking when this tiny bird flew on to the deck, did a flutter and then was off! I just managed to catch it  on camera as I had it ready for action :-) The extra is a thrush busily collecting moss for its nest. We had some friends over for a socially distanced coffee and lunch and then we did a lovely local walk and had a cup of tea before they went home .  It felt almost normal!
