Unpacking

Time to explore the garden now things are beginning to come to life. The hosta leaves are in the early stages of unfurling, forming tubes which remind me of brandysnaps that my mother used to make. They don't look as tasty though.

I like how light fades into shadow as the tubes recedes into darkness and how graceful the curves are formed by the leaf edges. Interesting that the uncompleted shapes hint at a bigger picture outside the frame.
