Welcome Back

An overcast Saturday welcomed the return of two favorites to our yard: the gray catbird (pictured) and a hummingbird!! Yes!! I’ve seen the catbird several times hanging out in the lilacs, eating suet, and familiarizing himself with the accommodations. As for the hummer, I haven’t seen any activity at the feeders but I saw one hovering briefly near the lilac trees this morning! It certainly is thrilling to have them both back :) Home•Sweet•Home• We purchased broccoli and leek seedlings yesterday so we’re hardening those off over the next few days before planting them. First, our garden needs to be roto-tilled, which is scheduled to be done soon but we don’t have a specific date yet • All is well in our little corner of the world.
