Salt Lake
Had to be up somewhat early for a breakfast meeting with Adobe APAC PR team. It was the pre-conference briefing, what's coming up, which we have access to etc. I'm here as part of the Asia Pacific media contingency, covering the latest developments in digital marketing. By 10am we we're done, and I briefly considering heading up skiing, but we were required for a 4,30 welcome party.
So, instead a couple pouf the other media people, Alex and Richard and I, drove up to the Antelope Island State Park; observed the Salt Lake, saw Bison and visited the visitor centre. Must do attraction if you come to Salt lake. FYI, the lake is large (can't remember how large), doesn't have any fish, but does have shrimp (which they harvest), is around 3% salinity, and has a max depth of 35 ft. The area has some of the oldest and newest rick in the word, 2.7 billion years I recall.
Anyway, back to the city and drop off the car, $24 for a taxi or $3 for the bus, for which I had a tour of the city, awesome ;-)
And then out to the welcome functions.
First up, the APAC welcomed function, 4.30 - 5.30 a ta cool bar. Met the Wotif And Virgin Australia social media guys which was great. And then 5.30 - 7 was the JAPAC welcome function, and them was the official conference welcome. But instead the Aussie/NZ media component went out for dinner with the Adobe team. Awesome Japanese restaurant, like really awesome.
Have to say, being here as part of the press contingent is awesome, Adobe are amazing hosts. And a sort of early night to bed ...
