White Cart mill?
After the heady excitement of the last few days I was content to slip back into routine. I am now out of synch for E’s shopping so made up for it this morning, preceded by a quick trip to Silverburn to collect some shoes, which will be returned so an excuse for a further visit after the bank holiday weekend.
Our first trip to the library since December where I was disappointed to find not one Kate Atkinson book. They had the full suite of Muriel Spark who is perhaps out of fashion.
I had intended swimming this afternoon, all the time slots had spaces, slept deeply instead. Felt predictably muzzy, somewhat received by a short walk along the White Cart. The blip is what I think is the remains of an old mill. I can find no reference to corroborate this.
Catch up with both sons and partners whose birthdays are today and a couple of days ago. My inspired birthday cards featuring their respective dogs as puppies went down well.
Now anticipating M&S organic roast chicken (reduced). The smell is intoxicating. Blonde M&S chocolate for pud.
