Poppy remains with culprits

There are masses of wild red poppies in the garden at the moment but they are being decimated by these beetles... They're different from the ones eating the yellow daisies but just as destructive.
I had a walk with a friend plus dog today... not quite the usual length but not far off, so happy with progress.
