Red cabbage

This is the first time I've grown red cabbage, or any cabbage for that matter, and this is the first one I've picked and eaten. I was very impressed with how solid and heavy it was and how tightly packed the leaves were. It takes small things... 

I had the neighbours round for a meal and spent some of the day preparing and cooking (including red cabbage salad of course, and a rather nice quiche made with leeks and swiss chard from the garden). But I also found time for a quick swim at Zarka beach with S & M.
