T-Wood and Caerketton Craigs

A breezy morning. Set off on the bike forgetting to leave eggs. I only remembered after a few miles. As it breezy I head out along the canal. This turned out a good move as it is fairly tree lined, and so the strong wind didn't register that much. Extra is taken from the aquaduct over the River Almond. At Broxburn, I turned off the canal path with the aim of heading to East Calder. A road closure meant heading back west for a bit to take a different road. No coffee break at the country park then. Once through the park, it is up to Kirknewton, then home via Balerno and Colinton. Get home, put the bike away, and the rain started for an hour or so.

In the afternoon the rain has cleared,so my partner and I go for the Sunday walk through Swanston. The blip is taken from the path just above Swanston village. Still breezy, the route home is via Lothianburn then Fairmilehead.

Back home, coffee and some chocolate egg is a great way to reenergise after the day's activities.
