Lamb Twin, Number 7

A beautiful sunny morning, and a chilly breeze picked up.  Clouded over for a bit, but a sunny, calm evening. 

I've been working in the museum all day, and a really quiet day.  The school bairns went back to school.  This gave me a chance for a deep clean in the café.  Walkies after tea, and met Julie and Keba.  Loads of folk out enjoying the lovely night.  Two more Coronavirus cases recorded today, linked to the one the other day.  Rumour has it to be from the "Shetland" filming crew, not good at all! While the rest of the UK gets good news about restrictions easing, us and other Scottish islands will continue to be punished, and no new tier.  Nicola seems to think it's a good bargain that travel will be opened up again, which can only end up with more cases, like the recent ones.  We've stuck to the rules, yet nothing changes, travel is more important to the government than us being able to see our families indoors.  We want to welcome folk back, but this is too soon, we need to get our lives back before visitors.  Very sad and frustrating world, and she's definitely lost my vote. 

On a happier note, it's good to see lambs appearing in the landscape, and better weather for them too.  Still quite young, sleepy and needing fed, but soon they will be springing about the fields.  This peerie lamb was at Fladdabister.
