A Lazy Day

After pottering about outdoors in the lovely sunshine the last couple of days, today has been spent mostly in my office (for those of you who don't know, the sofa is my office).
I've been mainly sketching to try and come up with an idea for a painting. I want to put my favourite things in it, plants, animals, birds, insects, lots of colour...and that's where I get worried! I've spoilt many a good drawing once I've added the paint. A risk I'll have to take. The Blip isn't the actual one I'm going to colour as it's only on sketchpad paper so I'll have that as an idea. I spent some time looking on Pinterest and saw so much to inspire me.

It's been so cold and windy outside today. We took Bella for a walk this afternoon and before we could get out of our street bumped into neighbours across the road returning from their walk. We chatted for quite a while, they're a lovely couple and moved here the same time as us 2 1/2 years ago. We set the world to rights then went on our merry way round the estate.

I'm thinking of getting a new iPad as this one is way past its best. A few things have come up as no longer compatible and won't even update. It's 7 years old which doesn't sound old to me but I suppose techno years might be like dog years!

For those of you 'desperate' to know what my profound thought was yesterday...I don't know, it never came back to me!
