WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Last Night

LOCKDOWN WEEK 2

I didn't take a photo today! So this is from last night when we were having a go at 'Sealed With A Kiss'. Needs a bit of practice!

I got quite stressed this morning as I had to go to the surgery to pick up our prescriptons. It's only a couple of minutes walk away. When I got there I could see 2 people in the small waiting room standing well away from each other. If I had gone in we would have been too close so I waited out in the foyer, then another woman came in. I was there for at least 10 minutes and nothing happened, nobody moved, then a young man came in. By this point I'd had enough and had to leave. It was impossible to social distance there.
I came home and phoned the main practice in Settle and told them what had happened and that I was really stressed out by it.
She kindly got in touch with our practice and they said they would phone me when it was quiet and they would bring it out to me. Which is what they did. I needed my migraine pills after that!

While that was all happening Frank had driven down to the boat to get some things we needed and also brought some food from the kitchen cupboards and fridge. Guess what - he came back with bread flour and yeast and plain and self raising flour and also brown rice. I'd forgotten how much we'd left on the boat.

The rest of the day was good though. Frank was relaying the path in the garden as it was all wonky and uneven. I repotted some of the 'baby groweths' and sowed Lobelia, Calendula and French Marigold seeds in the propagator.

Later I took Bella May walkies and I ran about like a lunatic trying to get her to run with me. She did a half hearted circle and spent the rest of the time sniffing about. She's such a lazy girl!

Sabrina told me that little Lucy has given up her Babbies (dummies) after their childminder posted a 'Government' ;-) letter through their door addressed to Lucy. It said that Scottish Government was asking children to give up their dummies for all the tiny babies as there is a shortage due to Corona Virus. (See extra)
So tonight Lucy has gone to bed without her precious babby and wrote a letter back saying she would give them all to the babies because she is big now. She's 4 but still needed it when her allergies were bad. She can't actually write but spends most of her time writing letters.
Also Amelia lost another tooth.
I wish I could see them! We're going to try Zoom soon.

Right, off to bed now. Keep safe everyone. :-) X
