Murphy: “What? This seat? It was yours? If only I’d known.”

Me: “Any chance of me getting back on the sofa?”

Murphy: “Well, because I am the bestest boy, I will let you have this little space at the end. I may even let you have my head on your knee if you scratch behind my ears.”

Me: “Sounds great. Maybe you could also do the thing where you have your elbows digging right into my thighs?”

Murphy: “Oh Princess, you can be very demanding sometimes.”

Me: “I’ll start scratching behind those ears.”

Murphy: “Any chance of a gravy bone before you sit down?”
