Broken dream

I came across this when I was on the cycle path today. It struck me as really sad, it wasn't there yesterday and I presume it is the end of somebody's pride and joy. I find such needless destruction quite beyond my comprehension. Having worked hard for everything all my life, the idea that somebody could take away and destroy my precious hard earned property for no real reason is very upsetting. I presume this was stolen and then burned out, I hope nobody was hurt and I hope that whoever it belonged to had good insurance. It made me think of two songs from my yoof!... Born to be Wild from Easy Rider and Broken Dream by Python Lee Jackson, aka Rod Stewart.
We had no scam calls this morning so I wasn't able to check I had silenced the phones which would be good news.
I made a big pot of mushroom soup this afternoon. It's such a very warming and comforting soup and I believe the weather is about to deteriorate so that'll be welcome I imagine.
Today is Tuesday so we have our regular weekly online bridge this evening.
I'm glad the current lot of machiavellian politics are more or less over. The extraordinary thing is that it's not actually been about the really important issue which started it all in the first place.
