Spawn

The sunshine continued from first light, to the extent that it compelled me (when the sun had moved around) to clean the bedroom window which I can’t recall having done since last summer. I will know in the morning – if there is sunshine, how competently I have done it.
In addition to the sunshine the day had a good start with the sighting of a loping fox, tail parallel to body, travelling through the woodland area just beside where the car is parked.
I spent the rest of the morning exploring some of the quieter parts of Rouken Glen. I haven’t seen much frog/toad spawn this year so I was chuffed to see a small quantity beside the busiest part of the pond. Also two Canadian geese, which is the extra blip. The water looks almost Mediterranean, sadly the colour is the result of blue green algae.
It was warm enough to read outside on the balcony this afternoon, if it wasn’t so distracting, I would do my yoga here as well. The current diversion is an intermittent stand off between two rooks and a magpie for the possession of a last year’s nest. My money is on the magpie.
