Brighton Beach Bathing Boxes
One more thing checked off my Melbourne must-see list today! My only plan for the day was to head to St Kilda in the evening to meet up with Sydney so I thought I'd make a little detour on the way to see what Brighton Beach was all about. It was an absolutely gorgeous day again and of course, with it being Sunday, the beach was packed. These bathing boxes are an icon of Melbourne and for good reason. They've been around since 1862, although in a different location, and are now heritage landmarks. These boxes have been selling for up to $200,000 in recent years apparently!
I debated whether I should keep the photo colourful and bright or if I should give it a more antique-y vibe and ended up really liking how it looks like this, a little faded and beachy.
