Friday Night Lights (After A Cheeky Wine)
Friday night is my favourite night of the week. We always have a take away or a ready meal from M & S, a large bottle of wine, a pudding (this week "our best ever trifle" from M & S) and watch some 'good' telly.
It usually begins when I pick my brother up from the station and he is so happy that his working week is finally over and he can relax. It's one of the very few things I miss about work since being made redundant last year - that Friday feeling after work has finished for the week (this usually involved a quick drink in a pub on the way home - those were the days!).
Literally the second he is in the door we crack the wine open and are already a couple of glasses down before we have even had dinner. A lovely low burble of alcohol induced merriment ensues!
After warming the oven up we chuck the food in and settle down to watch a repeat of Top Of The Pops on BBC4 (presently showing editions from August 1990). Love a bit of 90's pop nostalgia. Favourite track this week was "Where Are You Baby?" by Betty Boo. Fabulous!
This is currently followed by Grayson's Art Club on Channel 4 and then Gogglebox if we manage to stay awake that long after all the food and wine.
Today's image was taken after further imbibment as you can probably tell!
