Fish’n’chips!
JR lay a-bed today for ages. But I did bring her toast’n tea. There were no fitness classes to attend, and anyway, her leg is sore from trying to shove the new (very heavy) bed over a bit.
I was up and awaiting an arranged phone call from my thumb surgeon (they may have a proper name) at 9am, but it didn’t arrive. Sometimes my phone doesn’t take calls, and doesn’t even tell me I’ve had a missed call. I eventually got hold of him later in the day. He explained about the proposed steroid injection, using an xray to guide the needle to correct bit. Actually, when this was explained to me last time (over a year ago) I said, ‘You know what... I think I’ll just leave it...’
But it’s got so much worse, so I’ll have to carry it through this time. But he was rather graphic in his list of ‘risks’ eg it’s painful for a couple of weeks afterwards, and it might not work. Hey-Ho...
I was a bit depressed after that, though glad to be back on the waiting list, of course. And so what do I take a fancy to when depressed? Something to eat. Muffins! Blueberry muffins!! I set to making them. They were - while very edible - unlike any muffins I’ve ever had before. Don’t know what exactly I did wrong. Perhaps I didn’t whisk the liquids quite enough because I’d put them in a measuring jug that was too small to do a proper whisk.
We went to take Archie out, but it was raining, so I decided not to bother, but JR got an umbrella, and set off regardless.
Two minutes later, they were back. Archie had decided not to bother too! He just sat down under the shelter of the hedge and they had to come home.
However, the sun came out later, so we all dandered up to the cemetery. On the way home, we got fish’n’chips for tea for a treat. Archie got his doggie biscuit treat there too, as usual.
More fall-out from the Markles interview. So many inconsistencies, unsubstantiated ‘facts’ and blatant lies eg, Haz was NEVER going to retain his 24/7 taxpayer funded security, when he was no longer a working member of the RF and lived in another country. The man is deluded! Why, some actual working members of the RF don’t have it 24/7 - only when ‘on the job’.
I have been taking drops of the magic oil all day. Not working so far!
Enjoying The Man in Room 301 on Netflix iPlayer.
