Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Past it!

When I awoke, the first thing I noticed was that my painful hand/wrist from yesterday wasn’t as sore any more. Yes! It was back to just the normal sore - good!

I had a day off exercise, after yesterday's session, though I wasn’t stiff or sore this time.

Robert came to take Archie out. JR went to the gym. I went to the doctor to request the injection I turned down a month or so ago. I did ask if I could have it done in the city, and not 90 minutes away by bus. But no, there is no such facility here! Apparently it's a 'guided' injection - they have to get it in just the right place using an xray.

JR popped to get her 'click and collect' and I watched more of 'The Office' - I’m on Season 5 now! When JR came back she happened to check the diary, which noted 'Foot Clinic'... in half an hour!!! I’d forgotten all about it. I fair rushed to bus and got there on time.

He pulled and prodded my feet and pressed the nerve up near my knee (sore!) He thinks he knows why I have the random excruciating toe pains at night, and it's not gout. Then he said, 'How are you with a acupuncture?' I think I said, 'er... OK...' as he stuck needles on my foot and around my knee without waiting for an answer. But I still like him.

Archie could not wait to make himself at home on Robert's lap. In fact, I eventually noticed that Robert wasn’t drinking his coffee (it was on the coffee table) because he couldn’t reach it without disturbing Archie! I passed it to him.

I think those tulips really really are on their last legs...
