Peacock butterfly

So today at work I was in the fields and saw my first butterfly of the season, a peacock butterfly. Usually I see brimstone butterflies in my garden first but not this time.

This evening B and I walked across the fields and down to the lake, we were hoping to see the barn owl but it wasn’t around. We stood on a log and could just see the brother on his tractor .....
