13 Days To Go
And if you don't watch it, this will be a total mystery! You can tell how long I've had this Scrabble game by the Extra of the bag I keep the letters in! I now play Words with Friends on my iPad with a couple of friends.
So sad this morning to hear the excerpts from the Oprah interview with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Personally I don't understand why they are airing all of this in public, particularly given their criticism of her family talking to the Press. At the end of the day, it is just so sad to see a family torn apart like this. After watching the news, I went to the plant nursery - only 3.5 miles away, but it was so nice to drive the car and see other human beings and lots of happy young children being taken to school by their mums. After I got home it started raining and hasn't stopped.
Day 357 / Day 62 of Lockdown 3 / Day 1 of Step 1 of Roadmap out of Lockdown (for my record only)
UK deaths up 65 to 124,566 (revised basis), with 4,712 new cases,10,898 patients in hospital, 1,542 on ventilation and 688 new admissions. 22.4m have now received their first dose of the vaccine and 1.1m have had their second dose. It was the start of Step 1 today on the roadmap out of lockdown. Schools re-opened and care home residents can be visited by one nominated friend or family member. We can now meet one friend socially distanced outdoors in a public place to socialise e.g. for a picnic - I can't see that happening just yet given the weather!
