Repairs

The repairs to the bench area that I blipped a couple of days ago are completed. Not a great photo, but it puts the bench in context, beside the little shop. It was the woman who runs the shop who complained. The pavement beside the bench should be repaired too, I think. I'm surprised the little shop doesn't collapse into the harbour.
If anyone's interested, here's the story  behind the burned house that I blipped yesterday. I'm shocked that I didn't notice it last week when we went to town because I always looked at the house when we drove by.
Extras: A sharp-shinned hawk hit one of our windows late yesterday afternoon. It made such a bang that it scared the heck out of both of us. G thinks it might have been chasing another bird. The first extra shows it lying on the ground. G gently picked it up and carefully dribbled some water on its beak, then he put it on the ground. We didn't have much hope that it would live - but it did! It eventually stood up, flew into a cedar and landed on a branch. G watched it until it flew away. I've seen him revive quite a few birds and I was glad he was successful with this one.
