Flower Friday
Another reasonable nights sleep, oxygen off just after 4, slept on till after 8, down to make a quick brew, hub put the cricket on, we were surprised how close it was......not for long sadly, as by the time we were up and downstairs, the after tea session saw India romp ahead :-/
We were out the door at 10.30, as we got in the car we noticed our newest neighbours new gates were being fitted...they look really nice. We parked up outside Costa, I popped in to get or order, which we really enjoyed as usual ;-). I left hub finishing his whilst I went for a quick march, stopping off on my way back for the bits we needed.
I took todays blip around the back of the church yard, I think it might be hawthorn blossom, but am not sure, its pretty whatever it is though :-)
Hub decided he fancied Kfc for lunch so we drove to the Warrington drive thru.....as we turned onto the Retail Park we noticed the traffic lights were out of order, then as we turned to "drive thru" it was coned off, turned out the whole retail park had a power cut !! Plan B was to drive to Leigh, not too far from home, as we crossed the A580 East Lsncs Road, there was obviously a traffic incident of some kind, fortunately we managed to skirt around it, so werent held up! Lunch was very tasty and worth the detour.....we were somewhat surprised how busy it was today, but maybe Friday is peoples main shopping day?!
Once we got home, hub said he wanted to have a walk, we did a couple of laps around Georges Pond, at least 1000 steps. Hub went home, Imleft him 50metres from the front door to continue with my steps.
Yesterday hub had suggested a certain route I could walk for a change, so that was what I did today.....and boy was it further than I thought! I have since added another 1000 or so, bringing the total at the mo to just over 15,000 steps and dont my legs know it ;-)
Dinner this evening was steak and kidney pie, with peas and gravy, followed by rice pudding for hub and a yogurt for me.
We've treated ourselves to a drink this evening and a couple of chocolates from one of hubs birthday treats :-) He's been ok today, but a few things are frustrating him, but nothing we can't sort out over the weekend.
My walking challenge is going well, 5 days, all 10k steps plus, so far so good and the donations with gift aid stand at just over £1,100 :-D If you would like to support Cancer Research, you can, by clicking the link below, thank you :-))
