Diary of an Edinburgher

Dam builder

More dreichness, though it did brighten up in the afternoon. We all took a walk to Waitrose, for JR had a ‘John Lewis Click and Collect’ to be picked up. Archie and I waited outside while she also got a few treats for tea tonight, and then I took the stuff home (on the bus) while the others went off for a big walk.

They went to BraidBurn Valley Park - we haven’t been there for ages, though Archie goes regularly with Elizabeth. There was a man making a wee dam, for some reason. Perhaps he was helping the otter that was spotted there ages ago.

I spent quite a while reading the papers - so much news! Including an unseemly spat involving the Royal Family and some of their ex-members, which is most entertaining. I’m SO looking forward to watching the Oprah interview.

There were some more summer holiday arrangements attended to, but I don’t want to jinx it by mentioning it further. Suffice to say, if it comes to pass, will be wonderful!
