Diary of an Edinburgher

Another Marathon

Another dreary day, weather wise. The haar is still with us. But I was only out in it with Archie first thing this morning - that was enough.

Fortunately, our esteemed First Minister was giving evidence. ALL DAY. Yes, eight hours, with a couple of tea breaks. More of ‘Who said what, when?’ etc... Good luck sorting that out, Enquiry Committee. Again, it was oddly fascinating, though the best bits were the nippi-ness amongst committee members - the Convenor got stroppy, telling members to hurry up, or to ‘watch their tone’ but was ignored and talked over on several occasions, causing quite a few eye rolls...

In the afternoon JR took Archie for a big walk. She hasn’t been through the Hermitage for ages, so she went there (over 10,000 steps). They met two schnauzers that he hadn’t met before!

I couldn’t be bothered going go, because I was expecting an important phone call about a very exciting development on the summer holiday front...
