Tysons at Night

A different sort of walk this evening. Drove with W. to Tysons, about 40 minutes away, and circled a few miles through the mostly deserted streets, skirting building sites. Felt a bit weird walking through, all lit up and quiet. He showed me the back seams of the vast reconstruction zone - multicolored spray-painted builders' graffiti showing lines to dig or avoid, paths of underground pipelines, future high-rises, a stream restoration project at Scots Run. It's come a fair ways since we walked around at Christmas.
