Shawnee Lookout Park

We had rather a late start this morning - too late to bed last night! It had got really cold overnight, so we left it till the afternoon to go hiking at Shawnee Lookout, west of downtown and just north of the river. It was a beautiful blue sky and sunny day, but rather on the cool side.The trails there are largely along a ridge, so we hoped wouldn’t be to muddy, and whilst they weren’t mud-free, they were quite manageable. I decided to do a collage including me with a backdrop of the Ohio River, which is approaching minor flood stage, som fungus, lichen and the forest trail.
