Cheery colours for a grey day
Sunday
We awoke this morning to heavy rain, which continued much of the morning - just what we wanted on top of the recent snow melt! Laura called us while we were drinking our morning cup of tea in bed - nothing particular, just for a chat. She just signed up this last week for her last Masters program course in International studies, so she can see the end of the road, well perhaps not the end, but rather a junction in the road where she sets off on a different route! The question is whether she will be able to have a graduation - it will be a shame if she can’t since she has worked so hard - but of course it’s been the same for countless others over this last year. After breakfast we watched our morning service - next week all being well we will return to in person worship, physically distanced and mask wearing of course. Although it did finally stop raining in the afternoon, I decided to have a lazy day at home, while Roger went to do some exercise at the gym. So my afternoon was taken up as usual with my Duolingo Italian - it’s getting a bit harder now, so progress is a bit slower, as I keep making mistakes, reading and knitting - my current project, shown in my blip, is another prayer shawl for our knitting ministry. Our meetings will also resume in 10 days time - I’m sure there’s going to be a mountain of items to be blessed and distributed! My Book Club on the other hand is continuing on Zoom for now. In the evening our daughter Jen called and we enjoyed a good chat with her, then we watched an episode of Vera on Britbox.
