Haircut (about time)
Archie had a haircut today. He’s actually such a good boy, he just stands there, gives the odd wee sigh, and puts up with the indignity. He then had a bath and was wrapped up in his blanket for cuddles with JR and a wee snooze on the sofa.
His vet student took him out this morning (8.30am!) so he had a big walk first thing, but he’s gone out for another walk with JR this afternoon.
I’ve been watching the Holyrood Enquiry and Alec Salmond (our former First Minister) has been giving evidence all afternoon. Though it’s full of legalese - it’s oddly mesmerising. Who said what, when and to whom, and who is telling lies under oath? Because somebody is... Our current First Minister has her turn next week.
We’re enjoying ‘The Investigation’ - a Danish series based on a real event - a woman went missing after a trip with a man in his homemade submarine. He claimed she’d disembarked, but her torso washed up on a beach. He’d cut her up and dumped her body in the vast seas between Denmark and Scandanvia. Divers searched marked areas day after day, but it was impossible. The other body parts were eventually found by using a ‘cadaver dog’. These dogs are trained to locate human remains under the water. They can detect the smells at the surface from a rotting corpse on the sea bed! Aren’t they incredible animals.
