Diary of an Edinburgher

Flying the flag...

Elizabeth had a day off, so she came to take Archie out for a bonus walk. (Over 18,000 steps!)

After our respective exercise regimes *ahem* we took a dander down the Royal Mile. I wanted to see for myself the EU flag flying outside Parliament along with the Saltire and the Union flag. Why? We are no longer in the European Union. It’s fluttering away there because our First Minister ordered it to do so. (Extra 1) I should have really waited till tomorrow, when Alec Salmond will be giving evidence in the BIG STOOSHIE with the FM, and there will probably be a media scrum after it.

Actually, I was there for ages, trying to get all three flags flapping out at the same time. Impossible. But easier with the ‘LIVE’ feature on the iPhone, where it captures a second or so before and after the shot, so you can pick the best one. Also handy in case someone blinks at the wrong time.

I admired the Queen’s Gallery front door. (Extra 2)

Check out what Archie was barking hysterically at this morning when he went into the lounge - something that wasn’t there before and therefore was VERY SCARY. (Extra 3)
