BullerFest

Son T and I went and watched the Kayaking at the BullerFest competition at lunch time today. Held on the Buller River, competitors from all over New Zealand gather in Murchison for a weekend of racing, and partying! The skill and strength that these guys require to guide their kayaks down the rapids and through the 'gates' is amazing.

GingerNan arrived this afternoon and is staying the night with us. We had a blipmeet at the Red Barn Café and Animal Park, this afternoon with TeeJay and Kiwilizzie. It was great just to have time to have a drink, sit, relax and talk!

We've had a tiny bit of rain tonight (.3 of a mm - told you it was a tiny bit!) - but was very exciting to hear it on the roof and smell it on the concrete. It has now stopped, so excitement is over the for the night!
