Sally Mair - Loving life

Lights

This house just round the block from us has made a fence of lights and it cheers me up every time I see it. We still have tree lights in our garden too even although it is well past Candlemas now. They cheer me up though and don't annoy the neighbours as they can't really see them, so they're staying a while longer.
Quiet day today, I didn't sleep well so I've been in contact with my GP about an alternative anti-inflamatory pain killer. Ibuprofen brings me out in mouth ulcers which I can really do without but it's the one thing which works. Hopefully something new will be arriving at the pharmacy tomorrow for me.
Lots of things I could have done, but I chose to phone HMRC and other such agencies to see what had happened to the additional year's voluntary NI contribution I paid at the beginning of December. The best part of 4 hours on the phone most of it hanging on. I finally got there though and it is now showing on my record, hopefully it will make the jump to my pension payment soon, too.
I managed to get out for a walk before dinner, 0.6 of a mile today so that's good. I registered my race at your pace total for this month at only 5 miles so I've upped that to 10 and I think I'll raise it again, but I'll see how things go, I've got until the 25th. I really didn't expect to walk at all after my op so this is a pleasant surprise.
An extra tree image today to commemorate the founder of blip, Joe Tree. At least it's easy to take pictures of trees, he could have been called something much more tricky to photograph!
Keep safe and well everybody
