Resuscitation Annie are you ok?
Up early for a run then J took L to indoor play so I could continue working on these pics. I was grateful not to have to do the school run and I hate to have a little moan (not really I do this a lot), but the house looked like it'd been burgled by the time I got back.
The kids were late for school, all the jams, spreads, tea and coffee we all over the work top where J must've been looking for something, towels in the bath, water still in the sink with the plug in, duvets and pillows on the floor, curtains still drawn. Not sure what when on with them this morning but kinda glad I missed it.
Photos almost together now, going to drop them off in the morning and nervously await her feedback. Feel very exposed giving my work to someone. I have to remember that it's my first go and any feedback, bad or good is valuable.
This evening I went to a child first aid course. The sight of all these dummies in a bag, looking like children's bodies was quite chilling. Now I have kids I found myself a little moved when faced with doing the CPR on a minor. Main think I learned was they don't advise waiting till breathing has totally stopped before beginning CPR and they don't check for a pulse anymore. More often than not its our own pulse we feel so if the person is unresponsive, weak breathing just crack on with full CPR anyway. It will apparently do more harm by waiting than it would to give treatment to someone who didn't need it.
